The multi-output switching power supply means that the general input AC power is rectified and filtered and converted into DC power and then converted into high-frequency AC power to be supplied to the transformer for transformation, so that one or more sets of voltages are generated.

The main features of multiple output switching power supply:

      1. Generally, as long as one output voltage is regulated, the voltages of other channels are regulated right or wrong.

      2. The voltage of the unregulated output will change according to the load change of this one, of course, it is also simply affected by the size of the other various loads (interleaved adjustment rate).

     3. The power of the power supply commodity refers to the rated power of the whole machine. For the detailed output of each channel, please refer to the manual in detail. Please operate within the range indicated in the manual.

    4. There are blocking and non-blocking among the multiple outputs of the power supply, and some are common ground and non-common ground. The selection should be based on practical requirements.

    5. When using a multi-output power supply, it may be necessary to add a dummy load in order to adjust the output voltage of the unregulated output.

    6. The usual rule change for unregulated output is: when the load current increases, the output voltage decreases; when the load current of other paths increases, the output voltage increases.

Precautions for the use of multiple output switching power supplies

    1. Carefully evaluate the voltage and power scale required by each circuit of the system, not only to evaluate the maximum power, but also to evaluate the minimum power. In this way, when you choose a switching power supply with multiple outputs, you can accurately evaluate the fluctuation scale of each output voltage to prevent the output from being too low or too high, causing abnormal system operation.

    2. Adequately evaluate the power consumption status of each circuit in the system, and after getting the power supply samples, you must also go on the machine to test and verify.

    3. The load of each channel is usually not less than 10%Io. If the minimum power of the system practice is lower than 10%Io, it is advisable to add a false load.
